COMPANY HISTORY
A Reliable Foundation
Stonetrust first began in 1993 as a workers compensation self-insurance fund. Since then, we have evolved into a stock insurance company licensed in 28 states and currently writing coverage in Nebraska, Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, Alabama, Kansas, Iowa and Georgia.
Thousands of employers have made us their workers compensation insurer of choice because of our our vast experience in all areas of workers’ compensation and our solid financial strength. We couldn’t have gotten here without the strong partnerships we have built and without the help of our great agency partners.
Our steadfast commitment to unsurpassed service, risk screening, accident prevention, and claims management has enabled us to achieve exceptional results. On June 8, 2022, AM Best upgraded our Financial Strength Rating (FSR) to A- (Excellent), reflecting the sustained favorable results in our balance sheet strength and operating performance. AM Best has also stated that it expects that we will continue to report favorable loss reserving trends, maintain the strongest level of risk-adjusted capitalization – as measured by Best’s Credit Adequacy Ratio (BCAR) – and continue to generate organic surplus growth through profitable underwriting and investment performance.
